Health, Nursing & Medical Assisting Degree Information

Health Care degrees and healthcare certificates encompass a variety of related disciplines: healthcare administration, family medicine, medical assisting, nursing, physical therapy and many others. Almost all traditional universities offer healthcare programs, and there are also many online healthcare degrees available.

On-Campus and online nursing degrees and nursing certificates are designed to certify you for licensure as a nurse. This can take anywhere from one year for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to eight or more for a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), but most students opt for a two- or four-year nursing program that licenses them as a Registered Nurse (RN).
